Service Approach
I have worked with a wide range of presenting issues that clients bring to therapy and with a variety of all ages. As an Integrative Psychotherapist and Well-being Coach, I draw on different schools of counselling that include Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and Cognitive-Behavioural models of counselling. Coaching models include Egan, GROW and Mezirow.
I basically adapt the Integrative Therapy which acknowledges that one theory cannot address everything and that every individual has different needs that require different responses. I believe that all theories referred to above are most effective when not dealt with in isolation but when used to address a specific need in the most holistic way.
Having worked with a diverse range of clients and am respectful and affirmative of difference and diversity related to race, culture, gender, faith and physical ability.
My service abides with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) ethical code of practice. While I am a Registered Member of the BACP, I am also a Graduated Member of the British Psychology Society (BPS) in the UK.
